Assessing with Pictures
Please be informed--Aurelius
Township is sending a representative into your area to take exterior pictures
of your home and buildings to put in your parcel's assessment file. If
you have questions call 628-2093.
New Recycling Policy
Recycling is available for free to
Aurelius Township residents on the third Saturday of every month. Bring
your recycling to the Township Hall between 8:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. All materials can go in the container together. No sorting is required.
Items accepted include:
Tin cans and aluminum cans/trays - rinsed clean and
flattened - No paint cans, appliances, hangers, fencing scrap
metal, aerosol cans or containers with food residue.
Mixed residential paper - newspaper, brown paper bags,
magazines, catalogs, office paper and junk mail - No plastic
or paper bags, string, twine, stickers, coins or plastic on papers or
- Mixed plastic bottles and tubs - No plastic
bags, paper wax-coated milk and juice carton, styrofoam container/paging,
syringes, garden hose/rubber, furniture, pools, toys or free flowing
- Corrugated cardboard, boxboard, brown paper bags -
break down boxes and remove any contaminants (styrofoam, wood or food) -
No wax coated boxes, 6, 12, or 24 pack beverage cases, boxes
containing liquids or food residue, freezer or refrigerator food boxes,
boxes with foil lamination.

The walking path is open! Come
to the Township Hall and get your exercise on this lovely paved path. The
path is approximately 1/2 mile in length with benches placed for resting and
Dead Animal Recovery Team

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has announced the start of the Dead Animal Recovery Team, also known as DART. The program is designed to pickup dead animals on our roadways and on the shoulders of our roadways.
If there is a dead animal on the right of way of any road in Ingham County, citizens are asked to call 517 676-8273 and leave their name, phone number, location of animal, and type of animal.
The emergency warning siren located at the Aurelius Township Hall will conduct a test warning at 1 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
