General Information:

Deck Requirements

Examine our drawing of deck

Holes have to be at least 42” deep

The bottom of the cookie has to be at 42”

Place a bag of cement into the hole then fill up with dirt

Size of the holes

            A 4 x 4 has to be a minimum of 12” in diameter

            A 4 x 6 has to be a minimum of 16” in diameter

Height of deck

            If deck is 30” off ground or more, railing is required
            railing height has to be at least 36” high

Permit Procedure

Step 1:              Submit plans or drawing of deck

Step 2:              Fill out building information and assess. worksheet page 1 
                          and page 2 and site/plot plan
